Driving from Sheep Ranch to Sacramento, extremely late on a Sunday morning for a flight to Cincinnati, and intrigued by a windmill along highway 88 between Ion and Lodi; I stopped.

In Central America: The John A. Roebling Bridge over the steamboat congested Ohio River was constructed by John A., laying an oak foundation in the middle of the flowing river before the Civil War and before the Lincoln Presidency, and before the subsequent sandstone towers were piled upon this subject oak and mortar painstakingly laid in a hole in a river. Today the John A. Roebling bridge stands, still in use, as a beautiful monument to tenacity. It must be wrong to disparage this achievement with a digital image reflected in rain on a nearby asphalt parking lot for Daihatsus and Toyotas − however late enroute to Cincinnati Airport; I did that.
