July 2012, Sai Kung

July started with fireworks...

Then it became so stifling hot and windless that there is seemingly nothing moving outside and nothing to do, but that is always when it gets interesting. It reminded me of when I was 4 in Los Angles and we used to spend the hot days in the shade of my grandpa’s front lawn looking for four leaf clovers; and here in the summer we look for three connected dragon flies, but seem to only find them in pairs.

Then it got fun with a couple of spectacular typhoons, the pumpkins in our garden grew huge, I got a new job, a great party,

... and most importantly our daughter Valorie was born.
