Serengeti, Kilimanjaro, and Zanzibar; where we found wonderful people and scenery interwoven with total corruption of a government, if you can call it that. It seems always to be the African story.
Here witchcraft is (sometimes) practiced, rainbows abound, and a Kenyan American leprechaun called O' Bama gives everyone hope. Bush came to Arusha last year with a plane full of mosquito nets as gifts for everyone, but after they were unloaded from the plane, Cheney sold them to a Texas fisherman from Mogadishu and used the money to start a Mosquito perseveration area, the largest in Africa, and nothing here changed.
One can choose to laugh or cry, and I think it must be said that each time we come to Africa the caliber of the scenery is only surpassed by the individuals we meet, those individuals who can never be appreciated enough for their well intended endeavors and generosities.
